The evoke family

Our Story

evoke was born from firsthand experience. Nearly 10 years ago, our founder, David Mitson, suffered a severe concussion after a seemingly minor fall while riding. Realising that not all riding hats offer the same level of protection, he knew the industry needed a change. Over £3 million in development later, evoke was created. Our aim has always remained the same: to offer riders uncompromising safety combined with elegant, timeless equestrian style.

At evoke, every helmet is imagined and engineered with your ultimate protection in mind. Led by our Technical Director, who sits on the European Standards Committee, we oversee every detail of the design process in Great Britain. Our goal is simple: to deliver unparalleled safety seamlessly wrapped in elegant equestrian style.

Unlike brands that simply rebadge off-the-shelf factory models, we take full ownership of your safety. Our helmets are rigorously tested in Great Britain and proudly hold our own BSI certification alongside the prestigious British Kitemark. Every step is meticulously monitored to ensure we meet—and exceed—multiple international safety standards.

We believe your safety should never be compromised by cost. That’s why we introduced our innovative Helmet Replacement Scheme. If you suffer a fall within six months of purchasing and registering your evoke helmet, we will help you replace it without the undue financial burden. It is our absolute commitment to keeping you protected in the saddle.

The Revolution Begins

evoke makes its "flash-mob" debut at the National Equine Show at the NEC. We launch our first collections, Orion and Elara, and introduce our industry-first Helmet Replacement Scheme.

A New Generation

evoke launches with Approved Retailers across the UK, and we begin a nationwide tour starting at Badminton Horse Trials. For the first time, our helmets take centre stage - worn by our supported riders in competition.

Official Safety Partners

evoke is named Official Safety Partner of London International Horse Show, followed by partnerships with other prestigious events including Horse of the Year Show and BETA International - cementing our presence at the heart of the sport.

Growing Fast

evoke expands to over 90 retailers, reaching as far as South Africa.We are announced as Official Safety Partner of the Agria Blenheim International Horse Trials, alongside sponsoring the Eventer Challenge - championing safety at every level of eventing.

The Future Ahead

We begin the year with the launch of HEX6 and Contour, our latest innovations in body protection.

A landmark agreement will see evoke expand into the USA and become the Official Helmet of US Equestrian - marking a major step in our global journey.
